The University of Pittsburgh Law Review, founded in 1934, is
a student-run and edited journal of legal scholarship that publishes
four issues each year.
In the 2007-2008 academic year we will be
publishing our 69th volume. The Law Review welcomes submissions
from both students and legal professionals.
Over the years, we
have published articles, notes, and book reviews on a wide variety of
topics including constitutional law, securities regulation, criminal
procedure, family law, international law, and jurisprudence. Our goal is
to contribute to the legal community by publishing articles that
highlight current legal issues and changes in the law.
For example, in Volume 66 we published a symposium
recognizing the 50th anniversary of Brown v. Board of
Education. The articles in Volume 68 range in topic from
recent changes in India's patent law to plaintiffs' motivations for
pursuing litigation and the Sixth Amendment right to an attorney.
In Volume 69, we plan to publish a symposium entitled "Lawyers and
Disability," featuring papers by some of the most recognized scholars in
the disability law field.
